5.0 out of 5 stars TurboFire Greatest Hits 20 Minute Remix, July 26, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: TurboFire Greatest HIITs: 20 Minute High Intensity Workout DVD (Misc.)
I received this DVD in the mail this week and am already in love with it. I was very interested in ordering the complete TurboFire DVD set, but was hesitant to order something that expensive without evening knowing if I would enjoy it or if it was for me. After seeing online that I could order this 20 minute greatest hits remix, I knew that I had to order it to see what TurboFire was all about. I recently purchased Zumba Exhilarate and was completely disappointed with it and ended up returning it after the first week; which is another reason that I wanted to try more of a trial version than the extended version of TurboFire. I did work up a sweat with Zumba, but I really didn't feel like I was getting anything out of it and I was wasting the small window of time that I have to workout everyday. With this TurboFire remix, I felt the exact opposite.

I do have the TurboJam set, so I didn't have a problem keeping up with any of the moves. This DVD has very basic choreography... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Turbo Fire -- A calorie burner with a good beat!, October 14, 2011

I have tried a number of the Beach Body video programs and order one after the other and do one or two of the sets then move on or mix and match. Turbo Fire I ordered after already completing Insanity and P90x and P90x Plus and Chalean Extreme. I like Chalean's energy and nice way of motivating. The work-out seems to appeal more to women than men; vs P90x or Insanity or Asylum. Turbo Fire has a lot of different work outs and can be a first video program; it does burn calories and gets you to work out. If you want to really keep up with video, you need to watch some of the demo videos to understand the moves because once you start the video, the moves are fast and furious and you might spend alot of time figuring out what they are doing and not get as much of workout as much as a time when you just are trying to learn what you are doing. I have read reviews saying that can be frustrating, but if you just remember the object is to burn calories and have fun; loosen up and enjoy... Read more

I bought this just to see what the turbofire series would be like. For a $23 DVD you would think it would at least come in a plastic case, instead it came in a cheap cardboard sleeve. The actual workout wasn't bad. I am not in great shape by any means. I play tennis a couple times a week and go on a treadmill or bike a couple times a week. I actually did not have difficulty keeping up with the video. The hardest part was learning the moves to keep up. It made me sweat which was good. There is a lot of jumping around so I wouldn't do this if you have knee problems. There is one woman who does the low impact version on stage, but her version looks too easy. You may as well not do this video if you can't do the full version. In any case $23 for 15 minutes of exercise and a 5 minute warm down is not good value when you have have something like Supreme 90 with 10 DVDs for $20.
